A very old Thomas Rivers introduction from 1897! The round to oval reddish purple fruits ripen mid August and have a good dessert flavour, may also be used for all culinary purposes. A little known but worthwhile cultivar. Popular in the Worcester area. Pollinate with: Czar, Opal etc.
