Fruit large, short blunt conic, irregular, skin bright vermilion red, attractive, seeds yellow, flesh pale orange red, subacid, high dessert quality, ripens in midseason and the plants have good general disease resistance. Named for the pleasing light shiny orange skin colour which is salmon-orange inside and well flavoured. Another heirloom of the strawberry growing history, this variety was raised in 1950.
