    August picking. the medium sized fruits are dark purple and oval. The flesh is yellow/green, very juicy with a good acid flavour. A reliable popular cooking plum that is prolific and hardy, bearing a heavy crop. Good frost resistance. The trees are moderately vigorous, upright and self fertile, for no pollinators are needed.

  • Glen Ericht Raspberry Canes

     A new variety that is being introduced due to it’s tremendous disease resistance, importantly the canes show good resistance to root-rot. A variety with good quality rosy red berries which are well displayed and easy to harvest, the canes are largely free of spines. They are cohesive and moderatley firm and yields can be very high. The flavour is on the sharp side; many may prefer to use the berries for cooking purposes, certainly jam made from this variety is very tasty indeed! A vigorous and reliable grower. Mid season. 

  • Jubilee Gooseberry Bushes

    A variety from East Malling Research Station. An improved form of Careless with substantial improvements. The fruits are slightly earlier and are larger, handsome and yellow. Superb for all culinary purposes, freezes well and delicious for dessert when left to ripen. The flavour is excellent. This variety has been cleaned of all infections and provides a far heavier crop. The bush is moderately upright and holds the heavy crop well. A superb variety coming from the valuable work underway at East Malling. One we very highly recommend as a superb dual purpose variety. Jubilee has given exceptional results.

  • Lingonberry Plants Red Pearl

    This is a selected form of the species that is valued for it’s abundant crop of beautifu, bright red berries which are ideal for juicing or jelly making. The low compact evergreen growth is smothered in berries, as well as attractive urn shaped pinky white flowers in Spring. As with the species, requires an acid soil in sun or part shade, not too dry. Ideal for container growing. Reaches around 50 x 60cm’s.

  • Marjorie’s Seedling Plum Trees

    For picking late September and into October. The fruits are large, oval and purple blue/black with a yellow, rich, juicy flesh. The fruits hang on the tree well and when fully ripe, are of excellent dessert quality. Superb for all culinary purposes. A very heavy crop is produced on vigorous, upright trees. Cooks extremely well, recommended as a dual purpose, late season plum of very good quality. Self fertile, so no pollinators are needed.

The fruits are round and dark red, the flesh is soft and is superb for pies, cooking and bottling etc. Crops are heavy and regular and are ready for picking August to September. The trees are only moderately vigorous and are very easy to manage. This variety is self fertile, so can be grown on its own with no other pollinators.
