A variety from the Czeck republic that arrives with some high commendations, not least it’s hardiness and disease resistance. A very heavy and regular crop of small to medium sized yellow fruits predominantly washed with vermillion-red. Flesh is crisp, juicy and sweet – akin to Gala with a little more character. For picking in October and use through November. Accepts pollen from a wide range of varieties so easily polinated; Sunset, Redsleeves, Red Falstaff, Gavin, Spartan, Red Ellison, Grenadier, Sunrise and Arthur Turner are all ideal.
